Collections

If you're a fan of television's past, you'll love visiting the collections of some of the contributors to Eyes of A Generation. As this section of our site grows, we are going to offer a little glimpse into the private collections of television cameras and broadcast equipment from contributors all over the world! Each of these collectors have fascinating stories, not only about the equipment itself, but about their own treasure hunting adventures to find these cherished relics. The hunt is almost as fun as finding a collectable camera. While trying to track down these cameras, it is inevitable that you end up e-mailing or chatting live with some very interesting people--former cameramen, production people, current and former employees of the companies that manufactured the equipment, and even some celebrities!

Finding the camera is only the beginning of a long process. Many of the collectors restore these cameras to their original cosmetic condition, as well as locating appropriate period logos. Some take it even further! Check out our Best of Chuck Pharis section. Chuck not only collects cameras, he restores them to operating condition!

Please come back often as we'll be updating this area as we receive submissions. If you are a collector, please contact us! We'd love to add your photos and stories to our virtual museum.
